MARCH was declared Rabies Awareness Month under Executive Order No. 84, signed on March 13, 1999, by then President Joseph Estrada. According to the National Rabies Prevention and Control Program, approximately 300 to 600 Filipinos die of rabies every year. Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
