ILIGAN CITY, Lanao Del Norte – Vice President Jejomar Binay on Monday urged residents here to take the money politicians would give them during the elections season.

During a campaign rally at the plaza here, Binay said voters should not be ashamed to take money from politicians, especially during the campaign season.

“Pag kayo ay inabutan ng pera sa mga darating na araw, at tinitiyak ko na gagawin sa inyo… tanggapin niyo po,” Binay said.

Binay further explained why people should accept money from politicians: “Pera po ninyo. Naghirap kayo kasi hindi ginastos ang pera.”

“Tanggapin po ninyo yung pera. Ilagay niyo yung pera sa inyong bulsa. At bumoto kayo sa inyong kursonada, lalong lalo na kay Binay at Honasan,” Binay added, referring to his running mate Sen. Gringo Honasan.
