Roxas on use of private planes: ‘It’s not for free, I’m paying for it’

SILAY CITY, Negros Occidental—Liberal Party (LP) presidential candidate Mar Roxas on Tuesday said he owes no one a favor for the use of the private planes he uses in his campaign sorties.
He maintained that he paid for the use of such planes.
Davao Mayor Rodrigo Duterte has accused Roxas of protecting the business interest of miner Eric Guitierrez, owner of SR Metals Inc., whose planes the LP standard-bearer has been using in his campaign activities.

“Hindi yan libre. Hindi yan pabor, at hindi yan arbor. Binayaran ko yan (The use of planes are not for free. It is not a favor and it is not borrowed. I am paying for that),” he told reporters.
He said he was certain that he did not steal the money he used to pay for the rent of these planes.
It would be good, he added, if the same questions were asked to other candidates. RAM
