“With the support of the people, our zeal is undiminished and we remain grateful for our people’s continued trust.”
This was how Senator Grace Poe reacted on Monday on the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) conducted among 1, 200 respondents from February 5 to 7, which showed her sharing the second spot with Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte at 24 percent in the presidential race.
Vice President Jejomar Binay maintained his lead with 29 percent. Former Secretary Mar Roxas was fourth with 18 percent, followed by Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago with 4 percent.

Poe said they used the surveys “to constantly take stock of our campaign strategy and moves.”
“We will continue going around the country to personally meet with the people and lay down our platforms and agenda on how best to serve the Filipinos,” she further said.
Poe earlier emerged as the voters’ top choice in another survey conducted by the Pulse Asia among 1,800 respondents from January 24 to January 28.

Poe’s spokesman, Valenzuela Mayor Rex Gatchalian, echoed the senator’s statement on the latest SWS survey.
“Like all other survey results, we will use the data provided as guide for our next moves,” Gatchalian said in a spearate statement.
“Our resolve is to continue to focus on our message of inclusive governance – Gobyernong may Puso. We will also continue to detail to our voters that Sen. Poe is still a candidate in the running in the upcoming elections,” Gatchalian added.
