Aquino makes subtle attack on Binay at Roxas proclamation

ILOILO CITY – The current administration could have done better had there been a President Aquino and “Vice President Mar Roxas” tandem.

Aquino made this subtle attack on Vice President Jejomar Binay during his speech at the proclamation rally of the “Daang Matuwid” coalition here on Tuesday evening.

“Mas malayo sana ang narating natin. Ganyan kahalaga ang pagpili ng tamang ka-tandem,” he said.

The President then followed it up with a warning against “selfish” politicians sweet-talking the voters.

“Ngayong panahon ng kampanya, siguradong may mga magbibitiw ng matatamis na salita… Pero ang totoo, sarili lang nila ang kanilang iniisip,” he said.

Campaigning for the Liberal Party-led coalition, Aquino joined LP standard-bearer Mar Roxas, vice presidential candidate Leni Robredo and 12 senatorial hopefuls in kicking off their campaign for the national elections.
