Three senatorial bets of Partido Galing at Puso are absent during its kick-off rally at Plaza Miranda in Quiapo, Manila, on Tuesday.
The three candidates are Senate Pro Tempore Ralph Recto, former Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri and actor Edu Manzano.
Zubiri’s wife, Audrey, who represented him at the rally, had apologized for her husband.
She said her husband could not attend the event because it coincided with the launching of his senatorial bid in Bukidnon.
Manzano, for his part, was not at the rally because he was suffering from back pain, a member of the campaign team told reporters.
Recto was represented by a close friend and adviser, Ronnie del Rio.
Recto and Zubiri are guest candidates of the team led by its standard-bearer, Sen. Grace Poe, and her running mate, Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero.

Richard Gordon, Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno, lawyer Lorna Kapunan, and migrant workers advocate Susan Ople. RC
