The President and some cabinet members arrived at the Roxas City airport about 9:30 a.m. They proceeded to Barangay Duyoc in Dao town, located about 25 kilometers away.

Upon his arrival in Barangay Duyoc, the President transferred with Public Works Secretary Rogelio Singson into a waiting pick-up vehicle for a drive-through along the road project.

Mayors Joselito Escutin of Dao and Christopher Andaya of Sigma welcomed the President at the project site.
Singson later gave a briefing of major infrastructure projects on Panay Island.

After the brief program, Aquino motored back to Roxas City where the LP rally was held at the Capiz Gymnasium at the Villareal Stadium.

The eight-kilometer Mianay-Duyoc-Calaan-Panitan road is part of the 6,200 kilometer of paved roads completed in December 2015. The road projects started in July 2010.

The project connects towns in the province’s 1st congressional district with those in the 2nd congressional district.
The road cuts travel from Sigma town to Panitan town by 30 minutes, according to a project briefer.
