TAGUM CITY—Davao del Norte politicians supporting the presidential bid of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte for the upcoming elections in May held a motorcade campaign around this city, as the 90-day national campaign period started Tuesday.
A convoy of pickup trucks motored around downtown Tagum, bearing wooden posters of Duterte and local candidates professing alliance with the feisty presidential bet.

Posters bearing the faces of Vice Gov. Victorio “Baby” Suaybaguio Jr., who is running for governor as an independent candidate, and that of his nephew, Tagum councilor Nicandro Suaybaguio Jr., were seen alongside Duterte’s during the motorcade.
The younger Suaybaguio is running for Congress in province’s first district.
The campaign period for local positions will officially start on March 26. RAM
