BAGUIO CITY — The mercury dropped to 11.5 degrees Celsius in the summer capital on Monday (Feb.8), coinciding with Chinese New Year.

The Baguio station of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that Monday’s temperature was a gradual slide from the 13.2 degrees recorded on Sunday (Feb. 7), and from the much warmer 16.8 degrees on Saturday (Feb. 6).

Pagasa said residents would continue to experience nippy mornings due to the cold front.
