3 hurt in Tacurong City bomb blast

TACURONG CITY—Three people—at least two of them minors—were injured when an improvised explosive device went off here on Tuesday afternoon.

Supt. Ranie Hachuela, acting police chief, said the IED went off outside a pharmacy along Jose Abad Santos Street.

He said the explosive was placed on the engine compartment of a Toyota car and was rigged with wires and nails.

All the victims sustained minor injuries and were brought to hospitals, Hachuela said.

No one has claimed responsibility over the bomb attack, which took place as the city was celebrating its patronage festival. RC
