Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach has urged the members of the House of Representatives to continue crafting laws with the people in their hearts and minds.

The reigning queen arrived at the House of Representatives on Tuesday to be conferred the congressional medal of distinction.

She was received by Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. at the Speaker’s Hall, where she delivered a short message.

“I’m very happy to be with you, ang gumagawa ng mga batas na ikaaunlad ng bansa,” Wurtzbach told a tightly packed audience.

“On that note, pareho tayo ng inspiration—ang Pilipinas,” she said.

“Let’s continue to keep working confidently beautiful with a heart for the people,” she told the congressmen, using her now famous response in the pageant’s question and answer portion.

Wurtzbach donned a pink and white terno during the visit, the same attire she wore when she was received by President Benigno Aquino III at Malacañang earlier in the day. RC
