UPLB student found dumped in Laguna
MANILA, Philippines—A female student at the University of the Philippines in Los Baños was found dumped in a canal near the sprawling state university, police said.
Given Grace Cebanico could have been raped before she was killed and dumped in a canal in Barangay Putho Tuntungin, near the boundary of the university campus and the International Rice Research Institute last Tuesday.
Cebanico’s hands were tied and her mouth was covered with tape when she was found, Laguna provincial police director Senior Superintendent Gilbert Cruz.
She had bruises and sustained a gunshot wound to the head, said Cruz.
Cruz said that investigation was underway to identify and capture the victim’s killer.
