Commuters find 2 dead bodies in North Cotabato

KIDAPAWAN CITY – Police authorities in Arakan, North Cotabato said the two dead bodies discovered by commuters there on Monday were certainly not from the province and they could have hailed from nearby Bukidnon or Davao City.

Senior Inspector Felix Fornan, Arakan town police chief, said there has been no report of missing persons in the town or anywhere in the province, which led them to believe that the two dead men came from other areas.

The cadavers of the men, whose ages were estimated to be between 20 and 35, were discovered by commuters dumped along the portion of the Arakan-Kidapawan highway in Barangay Ganbudes around noontime Monday.

Fornan said both cadavers had multiple stab wounds.

“We have difficulties in identifying the victims since they didn’t have any identification card,” he said.

Fornan said the cadavers were being temporarily kept at a funeral parlor in Arakan. CDG
