Guns, ammunition seized in Angeles City
ANGELES CITY—High-powered guns and more than a hundred rounds of ammunition were confiscated by the police from a house in Cutcut village here on Wednesday.
The policemen deployed by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and the city police’s Special Weapons and Tactics raided the home of Enrique Yutuc at 6:30 a.m. on the strength of a search warrant issued by Judge Omar Viola of the Regional Trial Court Branch 57.
Yutuc has been accused of violating Republic Act No. 10591 (the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) for possessing unlicensed weapons.
Confiscated from Yutuc were a 9mm KG 9 sub-machinegun, a .45-cal. Remington 1911 pistol, an Armscor .45-cal. pistol, two .22-cal. rifles, assorted firearm magazines, and 113 pieces of bullets, according to Senior Supt. Benjamin Silo Jr., CIDG Central Luzon director.
