Malacañang welcomed the survey results of Pulse Asia’s December 2015 “Ulat ng Bayan” which revealed an increase in the approval and trust ratings of President Benigno Aquino III.
The results of the survey, which was conducted from December 4 to 11, showed a +1 increase in the President’s approval rating (from +50 in September 2015 to +51 in December 2015) and a four-point hike in his trust rating (from +49 in September 2015 to +53 in December 2015).
The survey showed that Aquino remains as the country’s most trusted government official who also garnered the highest approval rating.
“We are greatly humbled by the show of support and trust by our citizens even as we continue to serve with greater passion and determination in order to deliver on vital social reform and development programs in the remaining months of the administration,” Communications Secretary Herminio “Sonny” Coloma Jr. said in a statement on Wednesday.
Furthermore, the Palace official noted that the increase in the approval and trust ratings of the President in Class E (at +10 and +8, respectively) “indicates a growing support for the government’s programs and initiatives that benefit the poor and marginalized sectors of our society.”
Aside from Aquino, Vice President Jejomar Binay (+52) and Senate President Franklin Drilon (+51) also enjoyed majority approval ratings, Pulse Asia said.

Only Aquino obtained a majority trust rating at +53.
The said survey was conducted by using face-to-face interviews with 1,800 respondents who are all registered voters. It has a +/-2% error margin at 95 percent confidence level. RAM
