Binay, other gov’t execs’ satisfaction rating suffer drop
THE net satisfaction rating of Vice President Jejomar Binay has suffered a nine-point drop in December compared to his rating last September, the last quarter Social Weather Station (SWS) survey showed.
The survey, conducted from December 5 to 8, revealed that Binay had a “moderate” net satisfaction of +24, with 52% satisfied and 28% dissatisfied. During the third quarter survey last September, 58% were satisfied with the vice president while 25% were dissatisfied, for a net rating of “good” +33.
The SWS classifies a net satisfaction ratings of +70 and above as “excellent;” +50 to +69, “very good;” +30 to +49, “good;” +10 to +29, “moderate;” +9 to -9, “neutral;” -10 to -29, “poor;” -30 to -49, “bad;” -50 to -69, “very bad;” and -70 and below, “execrable.”
In the same SWS survey, the net satisfaction ratings of Senate President Franklin Drilon, Speaker Feliciano “Sonny” Belmonte Jr. and Chief Justice Ma. Lourdes Sereno also plunged.
Drilon’s net satisfaction rating dropped 35 points getting a “neutral” +7, with 38% satisfied and 31% dissatisfied. During the third quarter survey in September, Drilon got a “good” net satisfaction rating of +42.
Meanwhile, Belmonte’s net satisfaction suffered a six-point getting a “neutral” -1, with 31% satisfied, 32% dissatisfied.
Sereno, on the other hand, had a five points to a personal record-low of “neutral” -1, with 29% satisfied and 31% dissatisfied. The chief justice scored +4 in September.
Key government institutions
As for key government institutions, the Senate, the House of Representatives, and the Supreme Court all suffered a dip in their net satisfaction ratings.
The Senate suffered a 14-point drop to +30 from +44 during the third quarter. The House of Representatives dipped 10 points to +16 from +26 during the third quarter.
The Supreme Court’s net satisfaction dropped five points to +22 from the +27 during the third quarter while the Aquino Cabinet’s net satisfaction fell to +11 from the +16 during the third quarter.
