Talisay theft
A 41-year-old man allegedly lost his camera and cash to his newly hired helper in barangay Mohon, Talisay City, yesterday.
Divinieto Abatayo Sigue of Maderazo Drive reported to police that his helper only identified as Merlyn from Negros Oriental disappeared and took with her his digital camera worth P5,000 and P5,600 cash.
Sigue told police that Merlyn, 29,  begged him to hire her  last Sunday. Sigue said he took pity of the woman and hired her.
But Merlyn disappeared yesterday as well as the victim’s camera and cash.
Police are conducting a hot pursuit operation against the suspect./correspondent gabriel bonjoc

Tamang Bihis
In response to the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas’ (PRO-7) call for the strict implementation of the Tamang Bihis program, Cebu City Police Office will assign shift supervisors who will inspect police stations in the city.
Senior Sup. Melvin Ramon Buenafe said the proper implementation of the program will help improve police service.
Buenafe said one supervisor will be assigned in the north district while another will be assigned in the south./correspondent chito aragon

Illegal drugs arrest

A 35-year-old man was arrested by Mandaue policemen last Monday for allegedly selling shabu in barangay Tayud, Consolacion town, northern Cebu.
Belton Cabahug, 35, was arrested by the elements of Mandaue police station 5 led by Insp. Wilson Abot around 10:20 p.m.  in his residence in Rockwell Subdivision, barangay Tayud.
Judge Augustine Vestil of RTC Branch 56 Mandaue City issued the warrant for Cabahug’s arrest. No bail was recommended.
Cabahug had been in hiding for almost a year since a warrant of arrest was issued against him./CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA

Dalaguete stabbing

A 61-year-old farmer was stabbed by his son last Saturday barangay Malonay, Dalagin uete, south Cebu.
Locio Amandoron was rushed to the  Julio Cardinal Rosales Hospital and later confined to a Cebu City hospital for treatment.
Initial police investigation revealed that Amandoron had a drinking spree with his three sons when one of his sons,  Elioterio, 21, acted violently.
Amandoron tried to calm down Elioterio but he got irked and suddenly stabbed his father in the chest and fled.
