Tropical depression “Onyok” entered the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Wednesday afternoon, the state weather bureau said.

Obet Badrina of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the weather disturbance was at PAR at 1:45p.m.

Onyok packed maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour and moved west northwest at 20 kph.

It was last spotted 860 kilometers east of Mati City in Davao Oriental.

Panahon.TV said in a report that Onyok was moving towards Eastern Mindanao and will make landfall over Caraga on Friday morning.

It is expected to leave the Philippine boundary on Sunday afternoon.

Typhoon Nona, meanwhile, is expected to leave PAR on Friday after battering parts of Eastern Visayas and Luzon. IDL
