“No time to make promises, this is a case of national impatience,” vice presidential aspirant and Senator Gringo Honasan said on Tuesday.
This was the same reason why, Honasan said, the 1986 Edsa Revolution happened almost 36 years ago.
“Kaya nangyari yung 1986 People Power revolt 36 years ago. In February next year, nawala na ng pasensya, nabusan na ng pasensya ang taumbayan,” he told reporters.

“So no time anymore to wait, no time to make promises, you have to deliver and that will be based solely on capability performance, karanasan at kakaayahan,” he said.
A former soldier, Honasan played a key role in the revolution that toppled the dictatorship of then President Ferdinand Marcos. He is now running for vice president in 2016.
Honasan, running mate of presidential candidate and incumbent Vice President Jejomar Binay, said he is banking on his experiences as a soldier for 17 years, seven years as a rebel and 18 years as a senator.
“So (that’s) 42 years in public service. I will present that to the electorate para sila ang humusga kung sino ang karapat-dapat,” said the senator who has been lagging behind the pre-election surveys.
Honasan is running against consistent topnotcher in the surveys, Senator Francis Escudero and three other colleagues in the Senate; Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., Alan Peter Cayetano, and Antonio Trillanes IV. He is also up against the administration bet, Camarines Sur Representative Leni Robredo. TVJ
