CTA orders DOJ to respond to Jaime Napoles bid

The Court of Tax Appeals (CTA) has ordered the Department of Justice (DOJ) to respond to the bid of Jaime Napoles, husband of pork barrel scam accused Janet Lim Napoles to dismiss the tax evasion case filed against him.

In a resolution made public Tuesday, the DOJ has 15 days to respond.

After the lapse of the period, the CTA shall submit the case for resolution.

The court reiterated that the arraignment will be on Jan. 27, 2016.

Mr. Napoles’ tax liability based on the DOJ resolution is P16,470,402.7 for 2004, 2006, 2008, 2011 and 2012. TVJ
