Calbayog City Mayor Ronaldo Aquino ordered all barangay (village) officials especially those located along the Hibatang River and other flood-prone villages to be alert and evacuate residents as early as possible.

In Northern Samar, at least 1,700 individuals, 137 trucks, 28 buses and 45 light vehicles were stranded at the ferry terminal in Barangay Looc and seaport at Barangay Jubasan, both in Allen town.

Five trucks could not also leave the seaport in Barangay Dapdap also in Allen.

People have started evacuating to different evacuation areas in Barangays Baybay and Dalakit in Catarman, Northern Samar. RAM
