CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—A man suspected of having taken part in robberies was killed after being chased by policemen in Gapan, Nueva Ecija on Friday morning.
The suspect, Louie Garcia, and a male companion, were accosted by patrolling police officers at Barangay (village) San Nicolas at past 3 a.m., which triggered a chase and a gun battle leading to Garcia’s death, according to Chief Supt. Rudy Lacadin, Central Luzon police director.
The other suspect fled the area. A. 38-caliber revolver was recovered from García, who has been implicated in previous robbery cases in the province. RAM
