Robber caught in Mandaue, 3 theft incidents recorded in Talisay

A TEENAGER was arrested after allegedly robbing a Chinese man in barangay Bakilid, Mandaue City on Thursday evening.

Jinery Arojado, 18, is detained at the Subangdaku Police Station facing robbery charges for victimizing 20-year-old Wang Jin Ming.

Police revealed that Ming was standing along L Jayme St. in barangay Bakilid when Arojado appeared and approached him with an ice pick, demanding for his money and belongings.

The victim immediately gave his HTC mobile phone valued at P20,000 to the suspect but barangay tanod Ricardo Pilago, who was on patrol, saw the incident and arrested the suspect.

In Talisay City, three separate crimes were recorded last Thursday.

The first incident occurred in sitio Manga, Upper Mohon, where 23-year-old Regdel Nacario was sleeping when an unidentified man barged inside their house and took his gadgets worth over P30,000.

This incident was followed by another at around 12:00 pm in San Lorenzo St., Lower Mohon, barangay Lawaan II.

Marichan Moreno, a 33-year-old sales executive, parked her multicab along the road but when she went back, she already lost the vehicle’s battery and other parts.
