The fire that struck a residential area in Sta. Cruz, Manila hit the highest fire alarm on Friday morning.
As of posting time, firefighters are still putting out the fire that broke out in a residential area in Barangay (village) 310 near Quezon Boulevard—few meters away from Manila City Jail and Isetann Mall in Recto.
Radyo Inquirer 990 AM reported that some detainees of Barbosa Police Station had to be evacuated from the station as the fire continues to spread in the area.
Electricity was also cut off in some areas in Sta. Cruz, Quiapo and Sampaloc.
