ILIGAN CITY, Philippines—From not knowing where to get food for the day, Saima Romeric now boasts of a steady income and being able to send her children to school.

Romeric is among hundreds of beneficiaries of Iglesia ni Cristo’s (INC) FVM (Felix V. Manalo) self-sustaining eco-community in Lanao del Norte province. Her family is not even a member of the religious sect.

“In a span of a year since we started in this area, we now maintain a steady income. We are able to send our children to school and we have food on the table,” Romeric said.
