The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested Thursday evening businessman Domingo “Sandy” de Guzman, alleged mastermind in the killing of car racer Enzo Pastor.
NBI-National Capital Region arrested de Guzman in Barangay Bukas, Dasmariñas, Cavite, at around 7 p.m.
NBI-NCR Chief Max Salvador said they acted on a tip given to them last week.
He said they conducted a surveillance for a week.
Salvador said De Guzman has been staying at a motel using different aliases including women’s names.
De Guzman has been ordered arrested by the Quezon City Regional Trial Court in August this year after he was charged with the murder of Pastor.
Pastor was shot dead in Quezon City in 2014. De Guzman and Pastor’s wife Dahlia Guerrero-Pastor, his co-accused, allegedly hired a gunman to kill the car racer.
Salvador said they will present De Guzman before the Quezon City Court to inform them that the warrant has been served. De Guzman will be detained at the NBI.
