MANILA, Philippines — Sandy De Guzman, the suspected mastermind in the killing of car racing champion Enzo Pastor, was arrested in a safehouse in Silang, Cavite, around 8 p.m. Thursday, National Bureau of Investigation Assistant Regional Director Rommel Vallejo said.
De Guzman was nabbed by agents of the NBI-National Capital Region office.
As of this posting, De Guzman had been brought to the NBI in Manila for processing, Vallejo said.
De Guzman and Dalia Guerrero Pastor, Enzo’s wife, were issued warrants of arrest in August for allegedly plotting the killing of Pastor and hiring the gunman.
Pastor was shot dead in Quezon City in 2014.
Dalia remains at large. SFM
