DIGOS CITY – Unidentified armed men on Saturday shot dead the barangay secretary of Culaman village in Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental and his son, the police said.

Senior Supt. Dario Gunabe, Davao del Sur and Davao Occidental acting provincial police director, said Feliciano Felipe Lasawang, 68, and his son Darwin, 23, single, a member of Barangay Police Action Team (BPAT) in the said village, were taking a bath on the river in Sitio Kalongkongan when shot dead around 7 a.m.

He said based on initial investigation, the three mask-wearing suspects positioned themselves on the riverbank and shot the victims using locally-made shotguns.
