THE VOLLEYBELLES of Talisay romped through the competition as they kept their crown in Cluster 1 action in the ongoing 7th Governor Gwen Garcia Unity Volleyball (GUV) Cup at the the Bonifacio R. Bacaltos Sports Center in Sibonga.
Talisay was so dominant that aside from sweeping the rest of their assignments, they also went through the competition without losing a single set.
Bannered by former beach volleyball national champion Florian Gutierrez, Jullett Marikit and Marissa Lagancia, Talisay beat Argao, 25-16, 25-11. Also going down at the hands of Talisay were Sibonga (25-16, 25-13); Naga (25-11, 25-6) and Carcar (25-6, 25-10).
