UN chief condemns ‘despicable terrorist attacks’ in Paris

UNITED NATIONS, United States—United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned the attacks in Paris on Friday that killed at least 39 people and called for any hostages to be immediately released.

“The secretary-general condemns the despicable terrorist attacks carried out today in various locations in and around Paris,” according to a statement from his spokesman.
