Runners sign up for Thousand

06:25 AM May 20, 2011

MORE runners have registered for this Sunday’s ThreeSixty Pharmacy “One Thousand Cranes Run” at the Asiatown IT Park.
Among those who registered were companies who have their own running groups and local running clubs.

The run is staged to help victims of the March 11 disaster that struck Japan.

The organizers are expecting more than 1,000 runners to join the race, which features 15k, 6k and 3k distances. There will also be 100-meter and 200-meter categories for kiddie runners.

There will be a raffle draw after the race with a brand-new motorcycle, two laptops and two IPad computers at stake.
Cash awards for winning runners are pegged at P10,000 for 15k and P5,000 for 6k. 3k and kiddie dash winners will receive medals. Best in Costume winners get P2,000./CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
