Despite warnings and advisories, the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Tuesday reported that confiscation of prohibited items in cemeteries topped their monitoring of Undas-related incidents.

As of 4 p.m., PNP said it has confiscated 129 bladed or pointed weapons, 81 flammable materials, 12 liquors, and 95 gardening tools nationwide.

An improvised explosive device was also reportedly confiscated at the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

PNP said the crowd estimate at the Manila North and Manila South cemeteries, two of the biggest most crowded cemeteries in the metropolis, was set at 1.8 million and 32,000, respectively.

PNP also assured the public that they remain vigilant in ensuring peace and order in the commemoration of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, as 5,407 assistance hubs have been set up and 39,758 police personnel have been deployed throughout the country.
