Weakened ‘Lando’ moves toward Calayan, Babuyan group of island

TROPICAL Storm “Lando” continues to weaken as it moves toward Calayan and Babuyan group of islands, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

In its 11 p.m. bulletin, Pagasa said as of 10 p.m. the center of “Lando” was estimated based on all available data at 95 kilometers northwest of Calayan, Cagayan (coordinates: 19.7°N, 120.7°E).

The storm packs maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph,  moving northeast at 6 kph, Pagasa said.
