2 fishermen from Camarines Sur town missing— PNP-Bicol
LEGAZPI CITY—Two fishermen from the village of Bonot in Calabanga town of Camarines Sur province were reported missing, report reaching the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Bicol said.

Police Senior Inspector Malu Calubaquib, PNP Bicol spokesperson, said the two fishermen went out to sea on Saturday, ignoring the storm Signal No. 2 hoisted over the province due to Typhoon “Lando,” and the gale warning advisory from the town’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMC).
Calubaquid said Calabanga Vice Mayor Ramoncito Robles and the MDRRMC were still determining the identities of the two missing fishermen.
The PNP-Bicol reported that as of 9 a.m. Sunday, 967 passengers remain stranded in various ports in Albay (479), Camarines Sur (44), Sorsogon (16), and Masbate (16).
About 80 cargo trucks, buses and small vehicles were likewise standed in the ports of Tabaco City and Pio Duran, both in Albay; Bulan port in Sorsogon; San Andres port in Catanduanes; and in Cataingan, Masbate. Nine sea vessles were stranded in Tabaco (7) and Pio Duran (2) ports.
Except for the detour bridge in the village of Bocon, Caramoran, Catanduanes, all major roads and bridges in Bicol were passable, the PNP said.
In Quezon province, 180 families in northern part of the province, including Polillo Group of Islands, have been to evacuate to safer grounds.
Henry Buzar, Quezon Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council officer, in a phone interview early Sunday said the evacuated families were from Polillo Island’s towns of Panukulan (9), Patnanungan (10), Jomalig (22), and Polillo (5).

The latest bulletin from the state weather bureau placed northern Quezon and Polillo Islands under public storm Signal No. 3, where winds of greater than 100 kilometers per hour up to 185 kph may be expected in at least 18 hours.
Buzar said the local government town of Infanta had also evacuated 61 families while the town of Perez on Alabat Island has 73 affected families.
He said residents along coastal villages in northern Quezon that have been experiencing storm surges were advised to evacuate as safety precaution.
“If rain persists for one hour we also advise the residents in high risk areas to evacuate especially those living in houses in landslide-prone areas,” Buzar said.
He said the evacuees were being assisted by their respective local social welfare and development offices with packs of relief goods and medical supplies.
As of 4 a.m. Sunday, at least 178 persons had been stranded in Dalahican port in Lucena City (131) and Real port (47), according to a Quezon police report.
