Together with President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, Liberal Party (LP) standard-bearer Manuel “Mar” Roxas II and vice presidential aspirant Leni Robredo heard a mass at Manila Cathedral before filing their candidacies on Thursday.

All wearing yellow, Aquino and his sisters Viel Aquino-Dee and Ballsy Aquino-Abellada joined the front-liners of the ruling party in next year’s national elections.
Roxas was accompanied by his wife Korina Sanchez, mother Judy Araneta-Roxas, and sister Ria Roxas.

Meanwhile, Robredo was with her daughters Aika, Tricia and Jillian.
Administration allies and LP stalwarts also joined the morning mass, including House Speaker Feliciano “Sonny” Belmonte, Transportation Secretary Joseph Emilio “Jun” Abaya, and Budget Secretary Florencio “Butch” Abad.
Roxas and Robredo are set to file their certificate of candidacies 9:30 a.m. at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) main office in Palacio del Gobernador, Manila.
Supporters of “Mar-Leni” have already converged outside the cathedral and Comelec office. RAM
