Roxas, Robredo to file COCs on ‘lucky day’

LIBERAL Party standard-bearer Mar Roxas and his running mate Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo will file their certificates of candidacy on their “lucky day.”

For Roxas and Robredo, October 15 will bring luck to their electoral bid in 2016.

On Thursday morning, the presidential and vice presidential bets of the ruling party will make official their candidacies before the Commission on Elections’ main office at Palacio del Gobernador in Intramuros, Manila.

Before registering, Roxas and Robredo, along with their family members and close friends, will hear a Mass in Manila Cathedral at 7:30 a.m.

They are expected to go to Comelec at 9:30 a.m.

As for the administration’s senatorial bets, LP stalwart and Caloocan Rep. Edgar Erice said they will file individually their COCs.

In an interview last week, Roxas, when asked when they would file their candidacies, told reporters in jest: “Na nagtugma ‘yung swerte na araw kay VP (candidate) Leni ay tugma rin doon sa sabi nila ay swerteng araw din para sa akin. Secret. Malalaman ninyo.”

Like other candidates, Roxas believes in luck that feng shui practices can bring.
