LP bares slate dubbed ‘Koalisyon ng Daang Matuwid’

The Liberal Party (LP) unveiled on Monday the “Koalisyon ng Daang Matuwid” who will vie for the 12 vacant seats in the senate.

The 12 members of the slate are Senate President Franklin Drilon, incumbent senators Teofisto “TG” Guingona III and Ralph Recto, former senators Francis Pangilinan and Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, outgoing Justice Secretary Leila de Lima, outgoing Energy secretary Jericho Petilla, outgoing Technical Education and Skills Development Authority chief Joel Villanueva, outgoing Senator Lito Lapid’s son Mark Lapid, former party-list representative Risa Hontiveros and neophytes Nariman Ambolodto and Cresente Paez.

Meanwhile, Marikina Rep. Miro Quimbo and Akbayan Rep. Barry Gutierrez were named as spokesperson of the LP campaign.

Managing the campaign of the ruling Liberal Party in the next year’s national elections is LP vice chairman and House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte.

LP standard-bearer Manuel “Mar” Roxas II, his running-mate Leni Robredo and President Benigno Aquino III attended the event. IDL
