‘Virtue class’ held to groom men in Beijing
Want to be a better man? Maybe you should check out China’s first “virtue class,” which aims to groom men into becoming “better husbands and fathers” in Beijing, ifeng.com reported on Friday.
The “virtue class”, established by Fang Gang, a sexologist with Beijing Forestry University, will last for 3 days in Beijing and the curriculum includes training sessions and games.
Fang said the new definition of a “good man” should not only emphasize the role of provider, but also be expanded to include being actively engaged in doing housework, raising children and taking care of the family.
The class and games are designed to help men to think from a woman’s perspective and learn to share more time with their girlfriend or wife. The participants will also know how to take care of a baby and communicate effectively with a teenager.
So far, only two students have enrolled in the class.
