Expect another traffic slowdown on North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) today when the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) holds the world premiere of “Felix Manalo,” the biographical film about the INC founder, at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan province.

The 6 p.m. screening could draw about 40,000 people to the venue, according to Senior Supt. Ferdinand Divina, Bulacan police director.

On Sept. 26, about 100,000 flocked to the arena, for INC’s Grand Evangelical Mission.

Traffic managers are again expected to use traffic barriers and directional guides today, like what they did to control the flow of vehicles to the arena last week, Divina said.

An INC source said the politically influential religious group expects to set a world record for the largest audience for a film screening and for a movie premiere.

The record is currently held by Milwaukee in the United States, when 28,442 Milwaukee residents watched the 2012 premiere of the war veteran documentary, “Honor Flight.”
