Grace Poe: DNA sample didn’t come from Marcos kin
SENATOR Grace Poe made it clear on Thursday that the DNA sample that she took to identify her biological parents did not come from the Marcos family.
Poe made this clarification when asked anew during an interview in Cebu about the urban legend that she was an illegitimate child of the late dictator, Ferdinand Marcos, and former actress Rosemarie Sonora.

Sonora is the sister of the senator’s adoptive mother, veteran actress Susan Roces.
Poe said.

The cousin being referred to by Poe is Sonora’s daughter, actress Sheryl Cruz, who publicly opposed her presidential bid.

Poe pointed out that even Marcos’ son and namesake, Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., also refused to undergo a DNA test simply because he wants to be a part of this “urban legend.”
“Sabi niya ayaw daw niya kasi sabi niya he wants to be a part of an urban legend so hindi naman sa dahil, parang we’re making lie to it, pero wala ngang dahilan para isipin iyon na chismis lang talaga noon,” she further said.
