IMMIGRATION Chief Siegfried Mison has ordered an investigation on the circumstances surrounding the escape of a Korean ward from the Bureau of Immigration’s (BI) Warden Facility in Bicutan Tuesday morning.

Cho Seongdae, an undesirable alien facing US$23,500 extortion case in Korea, was discovered missing around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Immigration spokesperson Elaine Tan said Commissioner Mison already ordered officers in the facility to submit their explanation about the incident.
