Justice Secretary Leila De Lima said Liberal Party standard bearer Mar Roxas has informed her that she has been included in the Liberal Party’s (LP) senatorial slate for 2016.
However, she clarified that she still needs to wait for the official announcement which will be made on Sept. 30.
“Sinabi na po sa akin yan ni Sec. Mar Roxas na kasama ako. Hinihintay ko pa yung official announcement,” de Lima told reporters Monday.
During her State of the Department Address last week, she already bade goodbye to the Department of Justice (DOJ) whom she has served as justice secretary for more than five years.
She said she has already recommended one name to President Benigno Aquino III to replace her.
