The number coding scheme will be lifted in Metro Manila on Friday, September 25, in observance of Eid’l Adha, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said on Thursday.

“The number coding scheme is lifted on September 25 (Friday) in all the cities and municipality of Metro Manila for Eid’l Adha,” the MMDA said in an advisory.

This means that all cars with plate numbers ending in 9 and 0 can pass through all roads in Metro Manila.

The Eid’l Adha is the second of two annual Islamic holidays, with the other as Eid’l Fitr. It is a celebration that commemorates the end of Hajj or the pilgrimage to Mecca.
