CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – A suspected drug dealer was killed while five of his companions were arrested in a buy-bust operation that turned into a shootout with the police in Guagua town on Wednesday.
The police were assisting the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, which set out to arrest the suspects in Barangay Natividad in Guagua at 6:20 a.m.
The suspects, however, fought back leading to a gunfight that killed Romy Reyes, alias Ka Balugbog, according to Chief Supt. Rudy Lacadin, Central Luzon police director.
Police arrested Rodel Layug, Jun Ronquillo, Arnel Sinque, Alvino Serrano and Carlito Bacani, and recovered a .45 cal. pistol and a plastic sachet containing methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu).
