Pagasa issues thunderstorm warning over NCR, nearby provinces

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued on Sunday evening a thunderstorm advisory for Metro Manila and several provinces in Luzon.

A thunderstorm was affecting the cities of Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela and Quezon in Metro Manila, as well as Buenavista and Trece Martires City in Cavite and Agoncillo town in Batangas, according to the weather bureau’s 6:04 p.m. advisory.

The thunderstorm may persist in the areas within the next two hours.

On the other hand, residents in Rizal, other parts of Metro Manila, Cavite and Batangas provinces were advised to expect a thunderstorm within the next two hours.

Pagasa said that residents in the said areas should “take precautionary measures against heavy rains, strong winds, lightning and possible flash floods.” AJH
