Caloocan Rep. Edgar Erice on Wednesday expressed dismay that Senator Grace Poe has declared her presidential bid even after the Liberal Party (LP) invested in her in the 2013 elections.

We invested with her, then iniwan niya kami,” Erice said.

Poe topped the 2013 senatorial elections when she ran as an independent under the administration coalition Team PNoy led by the LP.

A political affairs officer for the LP, Erice said it may be the LP’s loss that Poe refused its offer to run as vice president of its standard bearer, Interior Sec. Mar Roxas. But the party is not harboring ill feelings against Poe.

Erice said it is time for the LP to move on from courting Poe.

“Well, makaka-move on na rin kami kasi we can finally choose our vice presidential candidate,” Erice said.

We cannot deny the fact the Senator Poe is popular. JE
