Rush-hour rains snarl traffic on Edsa

HEAVY rains on Thursday hit parts of Metro Manila, causing flash floods and leaving many motorists stuck in traffic jam.

In an advisory, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority warned motorists of heavy traffic from the Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (Edsa) on Arnaiz Street in Pasay all the way to SM Megamall in Mandaluyong.

The MMDA said traffic along the southbound lane of Edsa from SM megamall in Mandaluyong to Buendia was moderate to heavy as of 7:30 p.m.

The rest of Edsa recorded light to moderate traffic as of posting time.
