MANILA, Philippines — A businessman from Manila now has fresh capital he can inject in his retail business as he claimed over P91 million in jackpot prize in the Super Lotto 6/49.

The 54-year-old father of three was the sole player to correctly pick the winning combination 07-10-14-31-40-45 in the game’s Aug. 30 draw. He took home exactly P91,492,428.

The winner told Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) vice chair and general manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas II that his lucky combination was given to him by his sister-in-law. He added that he has been an avid lotto player for the last 19 years before finally hitting the jackpot prize.

When he claimed his prize at the PCSO’s head office in Mandaluyong City on Friday, the winner said he would use his prize to buy a house and lot and expand the grocery store he and his wife have been managing.  He added that he would save a portion of his winnings for his children’s education and future needs.

The winner, who only bought three tickets to clinch the game’s jackpot prize, also said that he would share a portion of the prize to his sister-in-law, since she was instrumental in helping him become a multimillionaire.

The Super Lotto 6/49 has a minimum guaranteed prize of P16 million. Its jackpot prize rose to over P91 million after no lucky player correctly guessed the right combination in its last 26 draws since June 30.
