At least 40 plane passengers suffered minor injuries when their aircraft had a rough landing at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) on Saturday afternoon, aviation officials said.

Coming from Doha, Qatar Airways Flight QR 932 encountered turbulence on the approach to the Naia runway, causing a “landing glitch” past 3 p.m., according to the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).

The injured persons mostly sustained abrasions and included three children and two flight attendants.

Airport medical teams assisted the passengers, one of whom requested to be brought to the hospital.

The MIAA declined to give additional details at press time, leaving it to the airline company to make a full report. Kristine Felisse Mangunay
