A magnitude 6.1 earthquake was recorded off Saranggani town in Davao Occidental province Wednesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
The quake, which was tectonic in origin, was recorded 148 kilometers southwest of the said town.
It occurred at 9:18 a.m and has a depth of 327 kilometers.
Phivolcs said that while no damage was expected, aftershocks may occur. Aries Joseph Hegina, INQUIRER.net
